  Research at the Department of Psychology attempts to advance our understanding of behaviour and the underlying mental processes and brain functions at multiple levels of analysis. This effort entails the integration of diverse approaches and paradigms from experimental psychology, cognitive science and the cognitive neurosciences. The Department is committed to producing basic and applied research of the highest quality with a focus on three main areas:

CENTRE FOR COGNITIVE NEUROIMAGING
A Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging (CCNi) within the Department of Psychology is currently created as a strategic priority of the University of Glasgow. CCNi will provide state-of-the-art functional neuroimaging facilities for researchers in cognitive neuroscience, experimental psychology, neuropsychology and cognitive science.
